Hi, well I am not a scholar and have not studied scripture a lot, only back when I started my Christian walk. I’ll try to answer this from some inherent and other knowledge that I stumbled onto.
At one point in my early Christian life, I was reading a Bible NIV that had many footnotes to help with passage/verse context. Also I had other versions of the Bible to help. Several times I found, what I thought to be, some serious contradictions, many. Being a new Christian, believing the Bible was 100% true regardless, I was mad. It was upsetting.
About Paul saying all scripture being from God (not man) and 100% inerrant etc., is Paul referring to the OT, since the NT did not exist? AnyWho ~ personally I’ve found contradictions, you don’t have to be a scholar for that. BUT / AND these (contradictions) I found trouble with are not with the original scripture manuscripts, they are translations. I am sure someone here (in the Q&A) has mentioned the problems inherent translating Hebrew/Aramaic into other languages. Thanks for the question.
